DMP opens U.S. office to push graphics IP




LONDON – Digital Media Professionals Inc. (DMP), a provider of 2- and 3-D graphics rendering intellectual property (IP) cores, has announced the establishment of a U.S. subsidiary located in Campbell, California.

DMP (Tokyo, Japan), formed in 2002, has also announced the appointment of Petri Talala as vice president and the general manager of Digital Media Professionals USA Inc.

DMP is currently developing several graphics IP cores based on the Khronos Group standards. Talala will be head of sales operations in the U.S., Europe and some Asian companies with effect from Jan. 1, 2012. Talala has experience in sales, marketing and business development acquired while working for Symbio, Futuremark, LM Ericsson and Tellabs Inc.

The Nintendo 3DS is amongst DMP's most notable design wins for its Pica200 graphics cores and Maestro technology.
