ISONEA says it is focusing on the commercialisation of its over-the-counter asthma monitoring devices which will work with mobile health apps.
iSonea is the joint effort of Israel-based iSonea and Australian company Pulmosonix. It is developing Acoustic Respiratory Monitoring (ARM) medical devices, and these have been approved by the US FDA, Australian TGA and the European Union CE.
According to iSonea, its technology addresses an enormous un-met medical need for frequent asthma monitoring.
In mid-November 2011, iSonea announced a $4.3 million rights issue on the Australian stock exchange to fund its plans to commercialise its products in the US, Australia and other international markets.
It is also developing over-the-counter asthma monitoring devices with mobile health capabilities, using iSonea core technology coupled with internet and social media marketing campaigns.
iSonea hopes its strategy will lower production costs and increase sales and distribution capacity.
